Burntisland and Redwell schools welcome first pupils
Hub East central Scotland has delivered its first new primary schools in the form of Burntisland Primary, Fife, and Redwell Primary, Alloa.

Both schools opened their doors in September to a mixture of primary and nursery pupils with a combined roll of 1,340.

The £10.8m Burntisland Primary was designed by Fife Council and delivered by BAM  in association with Hulley & Kirkwood and Cundall and is in the running to secure a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating.

Redwell Primary meanwhile was delivered by Robertson Construction to designs by Keppie, with support from Wallace Whittle and Blyth & Blyth. It represents an £8m investment and is rated as BREEAM ‘Very Good’.

Each school has taken approaching two years to deliver.
