The Bridge Arts Centre in Easterhouse, designed by Gareth Hoskins Architects, was awarded the British Construction Industry (BCI) Regeneration Award at a ceremony in London last week. The £8.5million arts centre and community library was the only Scottish project to have been shortlisted for the award, and saw off competition from a number of leading London-based practices.
Gareth Hoskins said: “We are thrilled to have come home a winner from these influential awards and are excited that The Bridge is making such a positive impact to the Easterhouse community.”
The Bridge has won six other awards this year, including the Scottish Design Awards, the RIBA National awards and is currently on the shortlist for the RIAS Andrew Doolan Award.
