In the week that www.architecturescotland.co.uk announced the launch of the carbuncles, town centres are back on the political agenda. Fife Council is hosting a national conference on town centres in Dunfermline on Thursday 15 November to look at how urban centres are responding growing car ownership and changing patterns of leisure. Fife Council is currently developing its retail policies and focusing its attention on the vibrancy of its town centres.
Participants Delegates will have the opportunity to hear from a variety of speakers including Jacquie Reilly from the Association of Town Centre Management;, Brian MacDonald of Irvine Bay Urban Regeneration;, Simon Ho, - CACI Solutions and Ken Jobling from the Scottish Executive Planning Directorate; on a broad range of aspects and approaches associated with town centre regeneration and management.
