RMJM waterfront masterplan goes before city council
September 5 2007
The RMJM-designed masterplan for Edinburgh’s waterfront development was put before Edinburgh City Council earlier this week, the largest proposal ever to be put before the council. The project, at Leith Docks, would see the construction of around 16,000 homes, 4,000 of which would be built as ‘affordable’ units, as well as a range of leisure facilities, retail and commercial developments.
The original idea for the waterfront development goes back to the late nineties and has been masterplanned by a string of practices over the past five years.
