August 15 2007
Reiach and Hall architects has submitted proposals for the City of Dundee Council’s new £27 million North Lindsay Street offices for planning approval, after winning the competition to design the project.Located at the site of the former DC Thompson print works, the new offices will retain and expand upon the existing building.
The double height former printing press hall will be opened up at the ground floor to form an arcaded loggia connecting the reception and information areas to the new extension of the Overgate Centre Mall.
The project was reviewed by Architecture + Design Scotland before the planning application was submitted, who were said to be "encouraged by Dundee City Council's ambition for this exciting project."
