100 bed Dundee hotel approved by planners

Outline plans to replace a Shell petrol station with a 100 bed hotel at East Marketgait, Dundee, have met with the approval of planners, paving the way for detailed designs to be drawn up.The plans are intended to bolster the city’s waterfront redevelopment amidst anticipated growth in the tourism sector.
Prepared by Peter Inglis Architects the plans call for creation of a seven storey building clad in blue engineering brick with a glazed frontage which doubles as an external reception space.
A link bridge would provide direct access to an adjacent multi-storey car park.
