Premier Inn announce third new Edinburgh hotel in two months

Premier In n has announced plans to build a second ‘Hub’ branded hotel in Edinburgh after selecting a plot on Rose Street to house a 157 room establishment.Scheduled to open by late 2015 the 3DReid designed scheme will defined by the diminutive stature of its rooms, measuring up to a mere 11 square metres in size thanks to space saving design features.
Stephen McGhee, principal at Lawrence McPherson Associates said "We are delighted to be involved in the second Hub by Premier Inn to be announced in Edinburgh; the news of which follows on quickly after the announcement of the first Hub in Scotland at the Caltongate in December."
"It is also very exciting to be closely involved in both Hub by Premier Inn hotels in Edinburgh as Whitbread role out this innovative concept outside London."
The hotel chain announced in January that it was to create another Hub hotel at Edinburgh’s Caltongate development – alongside a standard Premier Inn hotel.
