Keppie appoints Gordon Hood & Adrian Boot as practice directors
February 13 2014
Keppie has announced that it has appointed Gordon Hood and Adrian Boot as directors of the firm in an effort to target higher and further education work - bringing the practices total number of new recruits to over 30 in the last six months.Hood has been working with RMJM on a consultancy basis since leaving his role as managing principle of its Hong Kong studio, ending a 30 year stint at the troubled practice.
He will be reunited with former RMJM colleague Boot, who latterly served as partner at 10 Design, as the pair target education work both domestically and internationally.
The appointments were announced in tandem with the promotion of Peter Moran, Keppie’s present director of learning, who will now head up Keppie’s public sector business – which covers health and education work.
Keppie MD Martin English said: “The introduction of Gordon and Adrian and their exceptional track record will help us to extend our offer across further and higher education, which are showing strong signs of growth on the domestic stage.
“Their track record internationally will also allow us to selectively pursue opportunities in other markets as they arise. Their experience complements that of Peter Moran’s perfectly and together we believe they will form a formidable team.”

So what? Is this worthwhile architectural news...or even mildly interesting?
I'm glad I can start my weekend reassured with the knowledge that Mssr's Boot and Hood will allow Keppie to selectively pursue opportunities in other markets as they arise..'

Apparently Mr Boot's brother is being head hunted to complete the pair.
Keppie have since received applications from Charlie Trews, Aaron Jacket and Sandy Bobble-Hat.
Kevin Shellsuit-Bottomley politely declined to apply, but the remaining applicants are expected to join and form the new specialist retail projects division.

Its quite sad that there are lot of people out there who can't say anything positive about Keppie and obviously don't like them.
Just to clarify...I don't work for them!
