Cladding gets underway on speculative Dalmarnock block
February 5 2014
Morgan Sindall has begun affixing the external envelope of a £24m speculative office block in Dalmarnock, Glasgow, as part of efforts to have the project externally complete in time for this summer’s Commonwealth Games.Designed by Cooper Cromar the block is the latest development by Clyde Gateway in the area, which has been designated as a National Business District and is defined by its use of full height glazing and black metal cladding.
A two storey entrance level will open onto a granite sett paved entrance plaza opening and refurbished riverfront walkway.
Set back from the newly opened East End Regeneration Route it will offer 120,000sq/ft of grade A office space to tenants when it opens in October 2014.
Police Scotland may still move into the premises following a decant from their existing Pitt Street HQ

I really like this. It has a certain Peter Behrens futurism going on. The straight lines of Bauhaus meets the international style. It's also great to see this area radically improve with such rapidity.
