Skypark’s Azure building secures planning consent

Sheppard Robson Architects have received planning consent from Glasgow City Council to build a 135,000sq/ft office development at the Skypark business park, although construction will not start without a ‘substantial’ pre-let.Financed by Moorfield Group and Resonance Capital the& £45m Azure Building would be built on top of a landscaped terrace and will take advantage of cheaper land to undercut city centre rents.
Commenting on the consent Moorfield's Mark Holmes said: “We are pleased to announce that the Azure Building, now has planning consent - a green light in the evolution of Skypark.
“The Building allows us to offer top-quality, Grade A space at competitive rents, in an emerging district that is adjacent to the city centre.”
Resonance Capital director Ken Barrett added: “We are currently marketing for a pre-let and work will commence on our achieving a substantial pre-let for the building.”
