Culture secretary to chair live Twitter architecture debate
September 16 2013
Culture secretary Fiona Hyslop (@fionahyslop) is to take part in a live Twitter chat on Tuesday 24 September to hear views on how the Scottish Government should mark 2016 as Year of Innovation, Architecture and Design, 2016.The 12 month programme of events is designed to raise awareness locally and internationally of the built environment.
Hyslop said: “2016 presents a fantastic opportunity for Scotland to showcase to the world the incredible resource and skills that we have in our architects and designers.
“I am keen that we engage with the public and the profession to make sure we fully capitalise on this focus year. I want to reach out, not only to the architecture and design community but also to those who work in heritage and the digital sector - in fact, anyone who wants to share a view on how the visitor experience in 2016 can be enhanced and show off Scotland at its best.”
The focus year coincides with the RIAS Festival of Architecture.

Wonder what Fiona's suggestion will be -- build a scale model of the Glasgow school of art or Edinburgh castle out of penguin biscuits?
