Graven showcase revamped Glasgow Airport executive lounge
Graven Images have taken the wraps off their work to redesign an executive lounge at Glasgow Airport on behalf of British Airways, transforming the existing lounge into a series of smaller spaces the project is designed to meet the needs of business travellers, doubling previous capacity to 150.

The £800k project entailed overhauling 450 square metres of space through the likes of welcoming pods, whisky snug and an LED-lit mesh panel wall by Giles Miller Studio.

As the space has limited natural light Graven worked with Kevan Shaw Lighting Design to create an illusion of space and impart an atmosphere of intimacy, aided principally by a feature wall composed of veneer panels to the rear, each of which is stained in one of three different tones.

The project team included architect 3D Reid and contractor Elmwood.

A catering space serves as the focal point of the lounge with shared and banquet style seating whilst a new bar area boasts views out across the airport runway.
