Clyde Gateway submit ‘hybrid’ industrial park plan
Clyde Gateway has submitted plans for a mixed office and industrial development on the site of the former Dalmarnock Gas Works at Bartholomew Street, Glasgow.

A ‘hybrid’ industrial and commercial park it will incorporate the regeneration agencies recently unveiled speculative office block, known simply as Red, alongside five single storey industrial units and one ‘hybrid’ unit (essentially an industrial building with first floor office mezxanine).

Designed by Cooper Cromar the £6.5m scheme will be built from dark grey brick and aluminium cladding panels with site constraints arising from underground services dictate a 5m offset to the building line.

A landscaping strategy will integrate this with the nearby Dalmarnock Cross and recently refurbished station.
The work follows completion of the East End Regeneration Route ahead of the 2014 Commonwealth Games
