Cooper Cromar takes the helm of Twechar regeneration

Cooper Cromar is taking a lead role in the regeneration of the former mining village of Twechar after completing two separate residential projects in the community.The first of these, Roman Fields, will eventually provide 300 new homes delivered in partnership with Places for People, East Dunbartonshire Council and the Twechar Regeneration Group.
Embodying the principles of Designing Streets it will be used as a future case study by the Scottish Government.
In tandem with this a second development of 45 homes at Davidson Crescent has already been delivered. Set within a shared surface street environment priority is given to the pedestrian and landscaped pocket parks with parking
Chair of Twechar Tenants and Residents Association said: “I am delighted with the style and standard of the new houses, and they have made a huge difference to the living standards of many people from the village as well as the new families who have chosen to come and live in Twechar.”
Both projects were recent recipients of a Scottish Home Award.
