Contractors sought to deliver Alloa primary school

Construction services group Robertson has announced that it is seeking local contractors to assist in the delivery of Redwell Primary School, Alloa, on behalf of Clackmannanshire Council as part of a wider £500m investment programme by Hub East Central.Drawn up by Keppie Design the proposal will replace the existing St John’s and Claremont primaries with a new build on playing fields at Stirling Road, accommodating a roll of 440 along with an 80 place nursery.
A 13 month construction programme to deliver 15 classrooms, two gyms and a dining hall is scheduled to begin this summer.
Malcolm MacLeod, hub director for Robertson said: “Our Meet the Buyer event is a chance for local subcontractors and tradespeople to meet the project team and find out how they might get involved in the construction of the new Redwell Primary School, which marks an exciting new start for local school children in Alloa West.
Interested parties are invited to attend an open day on 7 May from 10-16:00 at Alloa Town Hall.
