Construction firm ISG has won a contract to renovate 9 Charlotte Square, Edinburgh, after SCOBANK signed a 10 year lease on the property. It forms part of a £1m refurbishment of six townhouses and ancillary buildings which are currently in process of being remodelled to provide high quality office accommodation by Morgan McDonnell Architecture.
Collectively known as the Charlotte Square Collection the project will ultimately see Charlotte Square itself revamped along with 19 surrounding addresses by Corran Properties.
SCOBANK will occupy a six-storey Georgian townhouse reconfigured to accommodate the private bank’s requirements, whilst conserving period features such as sash and case windows.
ISG’s Andy Mallice, managing director, Scotland, said: “This prestigious project plays to our strengths of sensitively delivering high quality commercial office accommodation within an architecturally protected context. The location and heritage of the Charlotte Square address, coupled with the quality and outstanding specification of the office fit out, will prove to be an ideal location for this private bank.”
The new bank will be completed in August.
