March 22 2013
Land Securities has officially opened Glasgow’s newest retail development today, a 115,000sq/ft BDP designed scheme. The prominent development on the city’s main retail thoroughfare has bucked the national decline in retail by opening fully let to a range of big brands; including Forever 21 and Vans as well as Paperchase, Evans Cycles, Fat Face, Skechers, Office, Watches of Switzerland and Gap.
The £61m scheme also incorporates 49 apartments and a rooftop garden terrace and has followed hot on the heels of Trinity Leeds which opened yesterday.
Robert Noel, chief executive of Land Securities, said: “The opening of 185-221 Buchanan Street in Scotland’s No.1 retail City is further evidence of the strength of our confidence in the Scottish market: We are delighted to have introduced new brands to Scotland and are confident that Buchanan Street will further enhance the City’s retail credentials”.

Well I think it's stunning. I'm really picky about where I buy my leggins and the Forever21 store is top notch.
