Cooper Cromar submit Scotstoun regeneration plan
March 14 2013
Cooper Cromar has submitted a planning application, on behalf of Glasgow Housing Association, for 116 homes at Kingsway Court, Scotstoun. The £10m plan will necessitate demolition of two tower blocks and a medical centre on the existing 1960s estate to be replaced with a mixture of apartments and terraced housing.
These will be clad in brown facing brick with slate effect concrete roof tiles.
A large central amenity garden will also be incorporated to enhance pedestrian connectivity between the Kingsway and Dumbarton Road.
Four remaining tower blocks, built in 1962 by Wimpey, have recently been refurbished by GHA.
