Scottish Design Awards deadline hoves into view
February 12 2013
With the entry deadline for the Scottish Design Awards 2013 this Friday 15 February rapidy flying through the calendar the week ahead represents the last gasp opportunity to stake your claim to recognition amongst this year’s judging panel. To give a clearer picture of what is being looked for from entrants SDA judge Hendrik Heyns, director of Allies and Morrison, said: “I always look for a clear diagram explaining the rationale behind a design; clarity is very important and then how the design relates to its immediate and wider context. Especially in an urban context any buildings contribution to the making of space, new connections or how it is simply forming part of the background is very important - it’s contribution to better the environment for all.
“Robust, well considered/edited detailing is always important to ensure the design weathers well and stands the test of time.”
If your project fits the bill then whisk your entry off quick to the SDA team before the deadline expires at 5pm on 15 February.
Alternatively, should you require additional help in compiling your entry or require additional information, please contact Caity Ryan on 0141 559 6063 or caity.ryan@thedrum.com.
