Urban Realm initiates top architects hunt

Urban Realm, in association with The Rooflight Company and Highland Galvanizers, has begun a search for the best architecture practices at work today.

Open to any practice with a presence north of the border, the survey is open to all eligible firms, large or small.

Urban Realm editor John Glenday said: “So what do we mean by ‘best’? Well, we're inviting you, our readers, first of all to nominate your favoured practices which will be slowly added to a list of nominated firms. These will constitute a long-list which will be put before a team of industry professionals to assess the quality of work, growth over the past 12 months and their wider influence within the construction sector.

“To assist the judges in this process we will be asking each nominee to complete a simple factsheet and submit examples of their recent work to us.”

A full report built from this information will appear in the winter edition of Urban Realm magazine in which the top 100 practices will be ranked. We will also initiate a far ranging debate on what the future holds for the architectural profession.
