Carbon Trust award entries sought as deadline looms
November 7 2012
Scotland’s construction industry is being urged to take advantage of the most pre-eminent sustainability awards in the business - and get 2013 off to the best start possible, by entering the Low Carbon Building Awards 2013, organised by Carbon Trust Scotland. The awards are entirely free to enter and will build on the success of last year’s event, which drew a record number of entries from across the country, prompting organisers to urge candidates to register their interest early this time round to make vital first impressions their own.
Conceived as a means to raise awareness of sustainability issues and recognise the world beating work being undertaken at home, the competition is open to anyone who has delivered a new build or refurbishment project which embodies low carbon principles.
Shortlisted schemes, and the eventual winners, will also be featured extensively in Urban Realm and serve as case studies for the continued improvement of our built stock.
Application forms can be downloaded directly from the Carbon Trust and additional information can be obtained by emailing lowcarbon@smarts.co.uk.
