Enchanted Forest festival ends on a bright note
October 29 2012
The Enchanted Forest has celebrated its tenth anniversary by bathing Faskally Wood, near Pitlochry, in its now customary blanket of light and sound. The 2012 event was titled ‘Flow’ and was put together by lighting designer Simon McConnell together with main contractor Northern Light. Run by the Highland Perthshire Area Community Interest Company, the annual event now welcomes around 30,000 visitors
Event organiser Eddie Thomson said: “… with a 50% increase in visitors coming to the show over the last three years, over half of which stay in the area overnight, it represents a significant boost to the income of businesses in the area, from shops to restaurants to hotels at a time when many businesses across the UK are tightening their belts.”
The Enchanted Forest will return next year from Friday 10 October to Saturday 2 November.
