Bearsden home extension completes
October 25 2012
Work to remodel and extend a £300k family home in Bearsden has been completed by its owners, Drs Alastair and Lesley Ireland.Conceived by Das Design Ltd the project entailed the refurbishment and extension of the entire house to introduce 130m2 of new accommodation over three floors; including a new master bedroom with en-suite and a large kitchen/dining/living space on the ground floor.
Contemporary in appearance the extension has been designed to be sympathetic to the existing house without compromising adjoining garden spaces.
A guiding consideration throughout the design process was to maximise natural light and capitalise on views south across St. Germaine Loch, informing the introduction of a first floor balcony and fully glazed attic space.
The home was completed in June 2012.

I take it the architect didn't specify the "wild west" decking? Yee-haw!

I agree with your comment Wyatt, the Wild West deck ruins the contemporary extension and I'm sure the architects didn't specify it...
