Nord’s Alan Pert plans Australia move

Alan Pert, director of Nord Architecture, has revealed his intention to up sticks from his native Glasgow and head to the altogether sunnier climes of Melbourne, Australia.The flit has been driven by Pert's appointment as director of the Melbourne School of Design, a post which will require the architects full time commitment.
Pert is due to commence the role in October for a period of four years and will bring his involvement with Glasgow’s two schools of architecture to an end.
In addition to his education work however Pert will also use his time down under to establish an antipodean outpost for his practice, leaving a group of senior architects from the practices 11 strong team to run the show back in Glasgow and London.
Pert, who is currently in London, will update Urban realm on his intentions soon.
