The Queen is to formally unveil a £2m refurbishment of Inverclyde Council’s HQ this Wednesday.Designed by BMJ Architects this entailed the full refurbishment of the ground floor of the grade A listed Municipal Building, Greenock.
This accommodates a new customer service centre incorporating a contact centre, meeting rooms and mezzanine floor, which is intended to complement the 19th century architecture with glazing and stainless steel features.
Inverclyde Council Leader, Councillor Stephen McCabe, said: “The new Customer Service Centre is light, spacious and welcoming and will transform the way we communicate with our customers. It offers a single point of contact for people accessing a wide range of services where highly trained staff will be able to deal quickly and efficiently with any query.”
