Clydebank canopy shortlist
January 10 2007
At the end of last year, Clydebank Rebuilt launched an open competition for the design of a new canopy for the pedestrian bridge across the Forth & Clyde Canal within Clydebank town centre. This was the first open competition organised by the RIAS since 1998. The shortlisted architects were Graeme Andrew from Glasgow, Constantine Koritsas from London, Neil McLean from Glasgow and Ged Young from Dundee. The winner will carry out the detailed design. Clydebank Rebuilt plans to build the canopy in 2007. Meanwhile, work on the Queen’s Quays site, master planned by Page/Park, is pushing ahead.Read next: Urgent need for conservation of St Peter's
