IDC Architects expand science and healthcare team
April 24 2012
IDC Architects, owned by Denver based CH2M HILL, have announced that they have appointed principal architect Bob Hedivan as a key member of its Glasgow based science and healthcare team.Hedivan, a former associate director at Boswell, Mitchell & Johnston, will join several of his former colleagues in the venture; including head of architectural discipline Allan Thomson and senior architect Graeme McVitie.
With experience in PPP/PFI projects Hedivan will focus on the technology sector in Europe, Asia and the US.
IDC Architects President Tim Meier said: “Even before the economy began to recover we saw a significant uptick in demand for labs and other science buildings from universities as well as private sector clients.
“In particular there’s been a big demand for new as well as renovated buildings that are more energy efficient and economical to operate, but also have the architectural excellence to complement a strong university or corporate brand. We see this new team making a big contribution toward our goal of taking IDC Architects to new levels of prominence in the growing life sciences markets.”
