SPT look to executive for bus link funding
January 9 2007
SPT has opened talks with the Scottish Executive in a bid to secure £42 million of funding for a proposed bus network to link Glasgow City Centre with developments along the Clyde corridor.
When finished, the £110 million Clyde Fastlink project will be the largest public transport scheme in the west of Scotland for a generation, using tram-like buses and leaving the option for a tramway route in the future.
If the funding is granted, work is to begin in 2009 with completion due in 2011.
