Broomielaw postcard competition launched
January 31 2012
A competition to devise creative design proposals for the Broomielaw waterfront has been launched by the New Glasgow Society as an alternative to GD Lodge designs for a series of silver pods.Postcards from the Broomielaw: Creative Ideas for the Clyde aims to elicit visual alternatives to Glasgow City Council’s chosen scheme whilst preserving existing open space and hard landscaping.
The design comp follows a public protest held at the waterfront site late last year and counts as a last ditch attempt to stall the development before construction work begins in the next few months.
Completed postcards must be received by February 24.

Perhaps the council should spend the money on filling the pot holes on our disastrous city roads and beyond. Complete farcical waste!!
