Executive announces £7 million funding boost to improve care conditions

The Scottish Executive is to spend around £7 million improving the homes of children in care.
£5 million is to be spent on improving educational and residential facilites, with £2 million set aside for carer grants.
Deputy education minister Robert Brown is due to make the announcement at the Children in Care conference in Edinburgh later today.
