John Gilbert details Bankhall care home design
September 19 2011
Architect John Gilbert, of the eponymous design studio, has recorded a 2min film to explain the key characteristics of their recently completed Bankhall dementia care home, Govanhill.Gilbert said: “Here in Glasgow there is a requirement to provide 50% open space in any care home development – difficult on a tight urban site like this.
“We’ve achieved this in two ways: One by having a roof garden and two by having sun spaces for every individual resident.”
Bankhall Court recently won the best individual property gong at the Herald Property Awards.
