Designers appointed for Gaiety Theatre refurb

South Ayrshire Council has appointed the McLennan Partnership as designers of a café/bar and box office facilities within the Gaiety Theatre, Ayr.The £500k investment in front of house facilities means that income can be generated for future phases of development work once the doors are opened to the public in September of this year.
Harry Garland, South Ayrshire Council's Executive Director for Children and Community, said: "We are confident our vision to establish the Gaiety Theatre at the centre of cultural activities in South Ayrshire will be achieved through partnership working and we will continue to work with the Ayr Gaiety Partnership to deliver this.
"The ambition of everyone involved is to see the Gaiety fully operational by the end of the year and today's decision takes us one step closer to realising this.
