BBC offloads Oxford Road site

The BBC has agreed a deal to offload its premises on Oxford Road as the broadcaster continues the process of decanting staff to Media City.Realty Estates purchased the property for an estimated £10m after seeing off three competing bids for the site, including Bruntwood, greater Manchester Property Ventures Fund and Downing Developments.
Known as New Broadcasting House the 1970s property occupies five and a half acres of land and accommodates 327,000sq/ft of offices and studios.
Redevelopment plans for the eyesore site are expected to be unveiled later in the year.
