Bruntwood reveal reclad plans for Leeds City House
March 31 2011
An ageing office block in Leeds is to be given a glass reclad in a bid to improve the vista around Leeds station and attract tenants. The existing 14 storeys structure, which looms above the cities main rail gateway, will be sheathed in glazing and upgraded internally to include a new entrance foyer and mezzanine reception.
Offering 111,063sq/ft of flexible office accommodation the refresh is intended to attract as broad a range of occupiers as possible.
Craig Burrow, Bruntwood’s head of sales and development, said: “City House will benefit from meticulous design, precision craftsmanship and the highest quality materials to ensure it impresses on every level.
“We are currently finalising our design and expect to submit a planning application very soon. The specification will be Grade A as we target a ‘BREEAM Excellent’ rating but it will be priced to appeal to a wide range of occupiers.”
A planning application is expected to be submitted in June with completion scheduled for Spring 2013.
