March 7 2011
South Ayrshire Council has issued a notice of its intent to appoint a design team as part of an ongoing refurbishment effort at the Gaiety Theatre in Ayr.This sees the Council seek the services of an architect, quantity surveyor and project manager who are being invited to tender on a 50% time, 30% quality and 20% price basis.
This follows the allocation of funding for the Gaiety Partnership, a charitable trust, toward the renovation of the café/bar area, box office and a performance space
The Partnership hope that these improvements will allow a pantomime to be staged in the vacant building before the year is out.
Completed tenders must be submitted to the authority by 12:00 noon on Thursday March 10.
