BDP’s new lecture theatre at Napier University’s Craiglockhart Campus - nicknamed \"The Egg\"- has just opened its doors to students. The building, with its timber frame, two giant concrete legs and shell of titanium sheets, bears a close resemblance to BDP’s IMAX Cinema at the Glasgow Science Centre. Inside is a 210-seat tiered auditorium with panoramic views through a glass wall to Edinburgh Castle and across the river to Fife. The Egg is part of a £25 million development of the campus, which includes a further 400-seat lecture hall, computer area, and library.
