Urban Realm vol.4 out now
November 24 2010
It’s been one year now since the publication of Urban Realm, a milestone we celebrate in style this issue with a special edition guest edited by Wayne Hemingway.Well regarded for his work with Red or Dead the designer has since developed a passionate interest in architecture.
Teaming up with Urban Realm we devote this issue to the theme of “happiness”, a hot topic in coalition circles at the moment as the government seeks to measure Britons happiness for the first time.
Our focus is on the built environment and we speak to Alain de Botton to find out more about the Architecture of Happiness through the author’s pioneering work with Living Architecture.
Elsewhere we venture into the lions den of Trump Tower to get the lowdown on the world’s most controversial golfing estate following that BBC interview. We also take a closer look at the V&A at Dundee competition, the chosen design may be superb but did the competition operate on a level playing field?
Non subscribers interested in finding out what all the fuss is about are invited to contact John Glenday at john.glenday@carnyx.com or 0141 559 6087 for more details.

Excellent piece on the V+A, good writing and comments. Well done
If it is true about direction to other contestants on budget then I would think that the result is outragous.
