Perth Council launch Tay crossing consultation
November 9 2010
Plans for a new £100m crossing at Perth are to be unveiled by Halcrow and Perth and Kinross Council at a public consultation.The proposals for a third crossing of the River Tay are intended to ease congestion in the city whilst improving local air quality.
Resident’s views are being sought on the best location for the Cross Tay Link or indeed whether it should be built at all.
The most expensive option, valued between £80 - 100m, will involve construction of a new road to connect the A9 at Broxden Roundabout with the A94 north of Scone. Although no funding has yet been secured.
Transport Planning Officers will be available to explain the strategy and answer questions at the following public meetings:
* Thursday 11th November, Perth National Christian Outreach Centre, Glasgow Road 2 pm - 8 pm
* Thursday 18th November, Blairgowrie, St Catherine's Church Hall, 2 pm - 8 pm
