Silverburn expansion to boost Pollok civic realm

A planning application for the extension of Glasgow’s largest purpose built shopping centre, Silverburn, has been approved by councillors.The development will see 7,728sq/m of additional retail and leisure space added to the complex in addition to the upgrade of a promenade leading to Pollok’s civic realm.
BDP are conducting design work for developers Hammerson with the aim of attracting a new wave of stores and restaurants to the centre.
Phillipa Zieba, Assistant Director Retail Development at Hammerson, said: “Now that planning approval has been granted, we can progress meaningful conversations with potential retail and leisure operators.”
