Leith Waterfront gets affordable homes boost

Port of Leith Housing Association has unveiled a number of developments at Leith waterfront as part of a £22.5m investment programme.This has seen the association procure a number of sites, including Granton United Church, for the provision of 190 new affordable homes.
In addition the HA have already received planning permission for one of their more prominent schemes, a development of around 100 mixed tenure homes at Western Harbour.
Due to go on site next year it is expected to take around two years to complete.
Keith Anderson, Chief Executive at PoLHA, said: “We want to create strong communities in areas people want to live, in homes where they feel safe and secure.”
