McLean Architects tee off East Kilbride club house
August 16 2010
McLean Architects have secured planning permission for East Kilbride golf club’s new clubhouse following a devastating fire in January which gutted the previous accommodation.Kept deliberately low slung in a bid to minimise visual impact on the site, the single storey pavilion is composed of pre-weathered standing seam zinc, white acrylic render and dark blue/black facing brick.
Internally a lounge, dinning room and spike bar are positioned such that they benefit from direct outlook over the golf course.
Construction is scheduled to commence in January 2011.
