Trump sends diggers onto Menie dunes
July 1 2010
Diggers have moved in on the site of Donald Trumps Menie golf course, Aberdeen, in the first tangible sign of progress on the controversial scheme.Machinery began rolling onto the dunes on Thursday to commence work on the championship golf course and associated developments such as a driving range after councillors gave the thumbs up on Tuesday.
Work on the Gareth Hoskins architects designed homes and hotel cannot yet proceed as the plans have still to go before councillors.
Trump has predicted the ribbon will be cut on his £750m golf resort by January 2012.
