Urban Splash announces Yorkshire Managing Director

Urban Splash has appointed Simon Gawthorpe as managing director for its new operation in Yorkshire. Simon will work on the regeneration of Lister Mills in Bradford, whose first phase, the conversion of the Silk Warehouse into 131 apartments, will be launched on November 20. Lister Mills is the first Urban Splash scheme in West Yorkshire and the company wanted to create a formal presence in the area. Gawthorpe will also be seeking further opportunities in Yorkshire.Before joining Urban Splash, Gawthorpe was a development director at Crown Dilmun in London, where he was responsible for a major mixed use development. “I am pleased to have joined Urban Splash at such an important time,” he said. “I am looking forward to delivering Lister Mills and building on the solid reputation of Urban Splash here in Yorkshire. It is also great to be back in Yorkshire again.”
