Aberdeen Arena plans go on public display

Aberdonians are to be consulted on plans for a new home for Aberdeen Football Club stadium at a series of public meetings to be held in the cityAt stake are plans for a 21,000 capacity stadium costing up to £40m at Loirston Loch which has yet to receive planning permission.
The proposed site lies within Aberdeen’s green belt and if approved would open the door to other developers with outline plans of their own for the area.
Dubbed the Aberdeen Arena it will see construction of a causeway over the eponymous loch on the site.
The plans will go on display at the Thistle Altens Hotel on Sunday and Monday and at Pittodrie Stadium on Tuesday from 15:00 to 20:00.
