Aurora Hotels are set to bring some northern light to Larbert after Falkirk Council approved plans for the 212 room hotel and spa complex.  

The Stirling based hotelier operates the existing five star Glenbervie House Hotel and estate which will be expanded to make way for the £40m complex to provide meeting and event facilities including two concept restaurants, a grand ballroom with a capacity for 1,000 and a 600 seat auditorium.

Detached homes and apartments, both upmarket and affordable, will be provided in the grounds of nearby Maclaren Park with land set aside for a new slip road onto the nearby M9.
