Aggreko has purchased a 16 acre site at Lomondgate, near Dumbarton, with a view to building a £20m manufacturing facility.

The temporary power provider is relocating its existing facility to the site with an eye to accommodating its planned expansion.

Alongside the business park will be built some 300 new homes from Walker Group and a services area providing a Premier Inn Hotel and Tesco Express filling station alongside the A82.

Lomondgate is a £100m partnership between West Dunbartonshire Council, Scottish Enterprise and Diageo to develop land around BBC Scotland’s existing drama production facility.
