Abercrombie & Fitch could pitch up in Glasgow
March 17 2010
Reports have surfaced suggesting American fashion retailer Abercrombie and Fitch could be eyeing up an abandoned Borders store on Glasgow’s Buchanan Street for only its second UK outlet. The retailer is said to have been eyeing up the prominent property amidst a European expansion drive.
Fashion retailer All Saints has already bagged the ground floor of the premises leaving only the upper levels for the American chain.
If the move proceeds store bosses are expected to assess whether it will be possible to apply the stores trademark white moulding and black louvres to the façade.
Theatrical interiors would be bedecked in soft spotlighting and the scent of Fierce, Abercrombie’s in house fragrance, will be wafted through the air.
