MSPs push Inverness College out of town
March 15 2010
A cross party group of MSPs have written to the principal of Inverness College to urge a flit to a Highlands and Islands Enterprise backed site in Beechwood, future home of the University of the Highlands and Islands.Local politicians are keen for the college to contribute to this nascent education quarter rather than redevelop their existing premises on the Longman Industrial Estate.
It is also argued that the Beechwood site can accommodate unrestricted future further education growth.
The £25m education and research campus is being designed by 7N Architects.
