Grimsby’s grimmest street is grim no more
March 9 2010
Work to demolish 100 homes has commenced in Grimsby’s Guildford Street, an area plagued by social ills and vermin.Over the next few months the street will be cleared in anticipation of a new beginning for the East Marsh district, classed as one of the most crime ridden and socially disadvantaged areas of the UK and riddled with drugs and anti social behaviour.
By 2015 Guildford St will be home to modern energy efficient family housing according to the local council.
