Buro Happold has established an Energy Performance Consultancy team in Glasgow in a move driven by a desire to address growing public awareness of global warming and spiralling energy costs.

The Consultancy will draw on Buro’s expertise to provide advice on new areas of government legislation including Building Regulations and Technical Standards, a Carbon Reduction Commitment Scheme and Energy Performance Certificates.

As part of this work Buro will provide a post occupancy evaluation service, to quantify discrepancies between predicted and actual performance.

The team will also utilise advanced building simulation techniques to predict the energy returns of particular investments.
